Celebrity Birthday: Don Jazzy Clocks 31

One of Nigeria’s most prolific music producers and CEO of Mavin Records, Michael Collins Ajereh, the one better known as Don Jazzy, has cause to thank God as he clocks 31 years of age today, 26 November, 2013.
From Delta State, Nigeria, Don Jazzy was born in Umuahia, Abia State, in 1982, and through self-determination, he rose to become one of the biggest names in music not only in Nigeria, but across the world.
He is better known as a singer, songwriter and record producer; he gave the biggest break to international star, D’Banj, in 2002 and has been a success story all through. With D’Banj, he co-founded Mo’Hits Records, Good Music and later, formed Mavin Records, with the breakdown of his business relationships with the former.
He has worked with the likes of D’Banj, Dr. SID, D’Prince, Walt on Top, Wande Coal, Ikechukwu, Weird MC, Tiwa Savage, Darey, Naeto C, Sauce Kid, and also collaborated with Jay-Z and Kanye West on the production of Lift Off, featuring Beyoncé on the album, Watch The Throne, released in 2011.
He was recently rated as the 36th ‘Most powerful celebrity in Africa” by Forbes Magazine.
